10 for it is written,

‘He will command his angels concerning you,
    to protect you,’[a]

11 and

‘on their hands they will lift you up,
    lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”[b]

12 And Jesus answered and[c] said to him, “It is said, ‘You are not to put to the test the Lord your God.’”[d]
